IFA Corporate Ltd Professional Development Programme
The company will provide free access to online learning facilities (Sesame Studyserve) which allow for focussed CPD and testing.
It will also finance the study material necessary for preparation for relevant CII or other examinations and make time available for such study and other relevant CPD activity, for which a minimum requirement is set.
All staff, both administrative and advisory are encouraged to seek relevant professional qualifications and formal and informal training is available in the form of observed calls, one to ones and any specific areas requested by staff with a Chartered Financial Planner.
While the company encourages administrative staff to seek to develop their professional qualifications the following minimum requirements exist for advisers.
- 1. All non Chartered advisers are required to seek to attain that status as quickly as possible. It is expected that at least one, and preferably two, advanced modules will be attempted each year. In addition to this there is an expectation that a minimum of 100 credits should be achieved via Sesame Studyserve each year (the training year running from 1st December to 30th November).
- 2. Chartered advisers are required to attain a minimum of 200 credits each year via Sesame Studyserve. This must include detailed refreshers on relevant areas (including testing) as well as regulatory and compliance topics.
These requirements will be monitored as part of the T & C programme.
The company will pay all fees for examination entry and study material on behalf of staff and bespoke training will be made freely available on request.
CPD is evidenced by monthly submissions which are centrally held, as well as by Sesame Studyserve.
Training needs are discussed and reviewed at the quarterly one to one meetings which are included in the T & C plan which complies with FSA guidelines. Any needs are identified at each meeting with an appropriate timeframe and reviewed in line with this.
